冬になると
イルミネーションを枝葉に大量につけたものをたくさんの人々が観に来ます。
デジタル表現として「人が近づいてきたことに対してセンシングして木々を光らせる」ものもあるのですが、
それはあくまでも人間のタイミングで光っているだけです。
なので私達は、木々のリアルタイムの信号（AE=Acourstic Emission）を取得して、
彼らのリズム・タイミングを音と光に変換し、
木々のタイミングで光るイルミネーションを作ることにしました。
そしてこの信号は木の種類によっても、
木の個体によってもタイミングは変わります。
つまり、人間本位のイルミネーションから
木々本位のイルミネーションとして作品を構成してみました。
これによって、[木々]といった、
毎日見ていてもなんとも思わなかった存在が、
[ケヤキ]といった別個の特別な存在としてみれるきっかけをイルミネーションを通じて表現しています。
In winter, a lot of people come to see illuminations on branches and leaves. There is a common digital expression that “the tree lights up when human approach”, but it only lights up when there is a human, which says a human-oriented way to express natural. That’s why we have created a plant-oriented illumination work by acquiring the real-time signals (AE = Acourstic Emission) of the trees and converting their rhythm and timing into sounds and lights.
