「時と系」をテーマにした作品。
時間について考えたときに、時間は２つの性質があるのではないかと考えた。
１つは、日々過ごしている中で感じている自分の中の時間。
例えば楽しいときは早くすぎるし、退屈なことはとても長く感じたりする。
もう一つは、システムとして機能している世界標準の時間。
特に２つ目に関しては、経済を回したり社会性を持たせるために整備された概念ではあるが、
それにより、時間に縛られながら人々は生活するようになってしまっているように感じた。
そこで、それぞれの時間を交互に感じられる作品を作ることで、
時間と系について考えるきっかけと提示する。
会場では、象徴的な存在として時を刻み続けながら、
ある一定の感覚で鐘の音を鳴らすことで、全ての世界に影響をもたらす。
The themes were ‘clocks’ and ‘systems.’
First, we thought about time and how it might have two meanings. One is the time we feel in ourselves as we spend our days. For example, it passes quickly when we are having fun, and when we are bored, it feels very slow. The other is the “universal time” that functions as a system.
Especially with regard to the second, it is designed to keep the economy and society relevant. But I feel that this has led people to live their lives being bound by time. Therefore, through artwork that allows the visitor to feel each time alternately, I would like to present this work as a chance to think about time and systems.
The first one is “The Rule of the World.” In the exhibition space, the clock ticked away as a symbolic presence. And sometimes it affected the world by ringing a bell.
