イギリスのロンドンのMayfair地区にあるレストラン・カフェ「Sketch」に、雨をテーマにした作品「in the rain」を設置しています。
Sketchは、ミシュランで2度3つ星を獲得した有名シェフが手がけるディナーから、アフタヌーンティーまで楽しめる素敵なカフェ。
アートな絵画からインスタレーションまで、多種多様な作品が展示されている、ロンドンの中でも特徴的なカフェとなっています。
「in the rain」は、The East Barを上がった先にある、instagramユーザーの中では有名なあの卵型トイレの空間にインストールされています。
雨の多いロンドンの地域での展示は、日本での展示とはまた異なる印象を人々に与えました。
Kinetica continues its residency at Sketch with the UK premiere of Japanese artist Yuki Anai’s ‘In The Rain’, Also showing is a new immersive work, ‘Silent Light’, by Chris Levine Sketch was inaugurated in 2002 by restaurateur Mourad Mazouz and three Michelin starred chef Pierre Gagnaire, as a destination for food, art and music as well as experimentation in design and architecture.
