阿波おどり会館 LED景観照明

lighting indigo, the water city of Tokushima

Concept

Year 2026

徳島市が進める「阿波おどり会館・あわぎん眉山ロープウェイLED景観整備」において、阿波おどり会館の照明演出デザインおよびプログラム制作を担当しました。

本整備のコンセプトは「藍を灯す、水都とくしま」。松下美紀照明設計事務所による照明のグランドデザインをもとに、阿波藍や水都・徳島を想起させる藍色、青、白を基調とした光の濃淡やグラデーションを、時間とともに変化する照明演出として構成しています。

建築全体の表情や光の連なりを大切にしながら、色彩、明暗、変化の速度や間合いを細かく設計。通常時の演出に加え、阿波おどりの軽快なリズムや躍動感、街の熱気を光で表現する特別演出「ぞめき」の演出デザインとプログラムも制作しました。

新たな景観照明が、徳島を訪れる方にとっては夜の街を巡るきっかけとなり、市民の皆さまにとっては、徳島らしさを感じられる新たな風景となることを願っています。本格点灯は2026年9月1日から。日没から22時まで点灯し、季節や行事に合わせた特別点灯も予定されています。

For the LED landscape lighting of Awa Odori Kaikan and the Bizan ropeway, a project led by the City of Tokushima, we were responsible for the design and programming of the hall's lighting sequences.

The concept of the project is "lighting indigo, the water city of Tokushima". Building on the lighting master plan for the site, we composed gradations of indigo, blue and white — colors that recall Awa indigo and Tokushima as a city of water — into sequences that shift slowly through the evening.

Working with the form of the whole building and the way light runs across it, we tuned color, contrast, and the speed and spacing of every change in detail. Alongside the everyday sequence, we designed and programmed "Zomeki", a special sequence that turns the light rhythm and heat of the Awa Odori dance into light.

The lighting has been running since September 1, 2026, from sunset until 10 pm, with special sequences planned for the seasons and for events through the year.
